CHIANG RAI – Police in the Chiang Saen district have arrested a 16-year-old boy from neighboring Myanmar on suspicion of stealing a motorcycle from an elderly resident. The incident occurred early on July 9 in the Pa Sak area. A 67-year-old local man reported his locked motorbike missing, prompting a swift investigation by local authorities. Following directives from senior officials, investigators meticulously reviewed security camera footage. The footage clearly showed a young man riding a bicycle suspiciously in the vicinity of the victim's house late at night. Police conducted a search of the surrounding area and located the suspect outside a local convenience store in the same district. He was brought to the police station for questioning. During interrogation, the teenager confessed to the crime, admitting to taking the motorcycle while the owner was asleep. He also revealed the location where the stolen vehicle was hidden. The suspect led police officers to Kham Daeng Shrine in Pa Yaat village, where the stolen blue Honda Wave motorcycle was found hidden approximately 50 meters away from the shrine building. The young teenager is now facing legal proceedings for nighttime theft using a vehicle.
