DJ Arrested as Drug Courier in Medan's Luxury Housing Complex

Medan, Indonesia — The Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Medan Police Department has arrested RM, a 33-year-old disc jockey (DJ), in a luxury housing complex. RM is suspected of possessing 100 vape pods containing narcotics. According to the police, the investigation began after receiving information about drug trafficking activities in a high-end residential area in the Medan Sunggal district. When officers arrived at the scene, RM attempted to flee on a motorcycle but was apprehended near the housing complex's gate. Upon arrest, police confiscated a total of 100 pods, consisting of 60 pods under the brand "Batman" and 40 pods under the brand "Yakuza." During questioning, RM confessed to being involved in the drug trade as a courier for the past two months, lured by promised rewards of millions of rupiah. He also reportedly has prior experience working as an online gambling operator in Cambodia. Based on RM's statement, the police have arrested FS, 36, as an accomplice. FS is said to have assisted RM in his courier activities and managed the proceeds from drug sales. Currently, the police are expanding their investigation to apprehend ER and U, who are believed to be the suppliers of the narcotics to RM and FS.
