Online gambling fraudsters arrested in Tachileik with business equipment

It has been learned that perpetrators of online fraud gambling have been arrested in Tachileik city along with business equipment. Based on information provided by responsible citizens that individuals committing online fraud gambling were residing within Tachileik city, Eastern Shan State, joint teams including security force members conducted investigations and crackdowns on residences in various wards within the city. As a result, it was learned that around 4 PM on September 9th, from a house in the Wang Kaw ward, 5 Chinese male perpetrators of online fraud gambling, 25 Myanmar male perpetrators, and 26 Myanmar female perpetrators, totaling 56 individuals, were arrested along with 60 various computers, 5 Wifi devices, 14 tables, 51 chairs, 2 unlicensed vehicles, and related equipment. It has been learned that after the necessary investigations are completed for those arrested who were engaged in these online fraud gambling activities, they will be prosecuted in accordance with existing laws, and the seized business equipment will be further processed according to procedures. It is known that the state is actively continuing to cooperate with neighboring countries, regional countries, and international organizations in anti-online fraud gambling initiatives to eradicate online fraud gambling offenses and prevent them from being established within Myanmar.
