Attack on military column in Myitnge, 10 soldiers killed, 6 weapons seized

Yangon, July 10 Ko Wun Thue from the No. 1 Battalion, Myingyan District, told Yangon Khit Thit News Agency that 10 soldiers from the terrorist military side were killed and 6 weapons were seized in an attack on a military column in Myitnge Township, Mandalay Region. It is reported that a joint column of the 99th Division, consisting of about 100 soldiers, which departed from Myitnge town on June 12, was ambushed between Pan Ai village and Kyauk Twin village by the No. 1 Battalion, Myingyan District, and allied joint forces. It is reported that intense clashes occurred between the military column and the revolutionary joint forces in the vicinity of the said villages for about 15 days. During the fighting, the military side suffered casualties, abandoned the bodies of soldiers, the wounded, food, and ammunition, and retreated and fled into Pan Ai village. It is reported that revolutionary force members visually confirmed 4 bodies of soldiers wearing the 99th Division arm patch during the attack, and there were many dead and wounded, including those with severed legs and arms. "We heard that 6 more died in Pan Ai village. The total number of terrorist soldiers killed is 10. The strength of the terrorist soldiers was about 100. We seized 6 guns and ammunition. We are carrying out an operation, so we want to ask the public to participate and cooperate," said Ko Wun Thue from the No. 1 Battalion, Myingyan District. In addition, it is reported that some ammunition, including one RPG, two MA-1s, one MA-2, and two MA-3s, were also seized from the terrorist military. It is reported that the attack was jointly carried out by the No. 1 Battalion, Myingyan District, the No. 3 Battalion, Myingyan District, the No. 2 Battalion, Mandalay District, the Mandalay District People's Defense Force, the Myitnge Township People's Defense Force, the Sintgaing Township People's Defense Force, and the Mandalay Township People's Defense Force.
