Japan Launches New Cambodia Mine Clearance Project After $17m Phase Completion

Cambodia and Japan have launched Phase III of an integrated mine clearance and victim assistance project, following the successful completion of a $17 million Phase II. The initiative, supported by 1.7 billion yen in Japanese funding, aims to clear land in Pursat, Battambang, and Koh Kong provinces, reinforcing the goal of a mine-free Cambodia by 2030.
