As the Republic of Seychelles celebrates the historic milestone of its 50th Independence Day, Gautam Karve, Editor-in-Chief of the World Media Organization (WMO), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Government and the people of Seychelles on this proud occasion. On this historic milestone, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Government and the people of Seychelles. On this occasion, expectations were expressed for further deepening bilateral relations between the two countries. Seychelles gained independence from the United Kingdom on June 29, 1976, marking its 50th anniversary this year.
