Quang Ngai Urges Accelerated Construction of Border Region Boarding Schools

Quang Ngai province in central Vietnam has instructed relevant agencies to expedite the construction progress of four multi-level boarding schools located in border areas, aiming for their simultaneous inauguration and use by the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. The schools are situated in border communes such as Mo Rai, Ro Koi, Sa Loong, and Duc Nong. The provincial authorities have strongly emphasized the need to ensure construction quality and prevent any delays. Furthermore, Quang Ngai province has declared a firm policy to replace contractors who are performing poorly or whose work quality is subpar. This measure follows previous instances where delays and quality issues in the construction of educational facilities have been a concern. This initiative is part of the Vietnamese government's broader efforts in poverty reduction and rural development, specifically aiming to equalize educational opportunities in economically disadvantaged border regions. These boarding schools are intended to provide a better learning environment for students living in remote areas and children from economically challenged families. Quang Ngai province has previously announced plans to build five multi-level boarding schools in border communes, with some already having commenced construction. The current directive aims to manage the overall progress of these projects and ensure their successful opening by the target deadlines.
