Cambodia Launches Book on Economic and Monetary History to Foster Understanding

The Museum of Economy and Money (SEM), affiliated with the National Bank of Cambodia, has officially launched the book "Visiting the Museum of Economy and Money." This publication, launched amidst the presence of representatives from the cultural and educational sectors, as well as the private sector, offers readers a concise overview of SEM's permanent exhibition. It provides detailed explanations to facilitate easy understanding of Cambodia's economic and monetary history, which spans over 2,000 years. The book elaborates on the key aspects of the museum's permanent exhibition and can also serve as a guide for visitors. This achievement is the result of a collaborative effort between SEM and Sipar, a publishing house dedicated to promoting reading, enhancing educational quality, and expanding access to knowledge for many years. By combining Sipar's expertise in producing accessible books with SEM's historical knowledge and collections, this joint project aims to transform complex historical subjects into easily digestible and engaging knowledge for every reader. Mr. Blaise Kilian, Co-Director of SEM, stated, "Making the knowledge of Cambodia's economic and monetary history accessible to all segments of the public is a significant mission of SEM. We are delighted to have collaborated with Sipar in publishing this book, which will make the content of our permanent exhibition more easily understood."
