Oni Choiruddin, Deputy for Sidang Affairs of the Secretariat General of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), lauded the detiktimur Awards 2026, organized by regional media detikcom, as an event that successfully identifies figures positively impacting the development of Eastern Indonesia. Speaking to Detik after the award ceremony at The Trans Hotel Jakarta on Friday (7/8/2026), Oni stated, "For DPD, this is an extraordinary thing, it can involve the regions in Eastern Indonesia."
