Metro Pacific Expands Hospital Network to 31
Metro Pacific Health has expanded its hospital network to 31 facilities with an investment in two hospitals in Batangas, aiming to improve access to quality healthcare nationwide.
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Pacific Health Corp. (MPH), the healthcare arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), has expanded its hospital network to 31 facilities with its investment in First United 23 Inc., the owner and operator of two hospitals in Batangas. First United 23 Inc. owns and operates United Doctors of St. Camillus de Lellis Hospital and Medical Center (UDCMC) and United Doctors of St. Camillus de Lellis Mabini General Hospital (UDCMGH). "We are deeply grateful for the continuing trust of hospital owners and doctors nationwide who have chosen to partner with Metro Pacific Health. Their confidence enables us to further develop and expand health care services in their respective communities," said MPH president Augie Palisoc Jr. "This investment in St. Camillus marks our 19th and 20th provincial hospital partnership - and our first in the progressive province of Batangas, thereby completing our presence in the Calabarzon region," he added. The company stated that a strategic roadmap has been developed for both UDCMC and UDCMGH aimed at unlocking their full potential. MPH noted that UDCMC, located along Diversion Road in Bolbok, Batangas City, is well positioned to serve the growing communities within its area. UDCMGH, on the other hand, is the only private hospital in Mabini, serving both its residents and tourists drawn to Mabini’s famed diving spots in Anilao. With the addition of UDCMC and UDCMGH, MPH now operates 11 hospitals in the National Capital Region, 12 in Luzon, two in the Visayas, and six in Mindanao. The 31 hospitals under MPH have a combined capacity of approximately 4,800 beds, supported by 12,500 doctors and 24,000 healthcare staff, serving around 5.2 million patients annually. Among its portfolio of premier hospitals are Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Davao Doctors Hospital, and Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod. Under the leadership of its chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan, MPH continues to strengthen its commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible across the Philippines.
