Suryo mentioned that among the evidence to be presented in court is a typewriter, suggesting that the President might claim it was used during his thesis writing. "Let's prove it, let's practice it. We will see Jokowi typing on that typewriter," he said. Meanwhile, Firman Pangaribuan, President Widodo's legal counsel, who also attended the program, confirmed the President's attendance but remained non-committal about the frequency. Doctorate Tifa's first trial commenced today, Thursday (July 2), at the East Jakarta District Court, presided over by Chief Judge Christina Endarwati.
