Kurt Daryl Aplal, station commander of the Coast Guard Station Eastern Bohol, identified the fisherman as Ronald Aclan, a resident of Barangay Bunga Mar, Jagna. Aclan was reportedly out fishing early Sunday morning. The rescue operation was successful due to the Coast Guard's prompt response upon learning of Aclan's situation. Aclan was confirmed to be in good health after being rescued.
