CPP Strengthens Ties with Local Party Organizations, 2,012 Members Attend Meeting

Mr. Chhay Rithysen, a senior official of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and member of the party's Central Committee, presided over a meeting with 2,012 party members, party branches, party families, and youth members from eight villages in Chonmoun Commune, Tep Pors District, Kampong Chhnang Province on August 1, 2026. The meeting, aimed at strengthening local party organizations and engaging with party members, was held at four separate locations. Reports from the village party branches detailed their organizational structures and membership numbers. For instance, the Chonmoun village party branch was reported to have 57 party groups, 378 party families, and a total of 704 members. Speaking at each venue, Mr. Chhay Rithysen expressed gratitude to the party members for their continued love, trust, and votes that have led to the CPP's victories in past mandates. He highlighted the party's achievements since the liberation from the Khmer Rouge regime on January 7, 1979, emphasizing the reconstruction and national reunification under the "win-win" policy implemented by the "father of peace" for Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen. He also noted that the peace and political stability maintained by the CPP have facilitated national development and sustained economic growth. Furthermore, Mr. Chhay stated that the government, born from the CPP through the people's votes, continues to serve the people's interests, address their difficulties in all circumstances, and further develop the nation in all sectors in line with the party's political program. He urged all party members to continue protecting peace and trusting the government formed by the CPP, cautioning them against being misled by incitement or fake news from opposition groups, both domestically and abroad. In conclusion, Mr. Chhay called on all party members to maintain solidarity, internal unity, register to vote, and cast their ballots for the CPP. This, he asserted, would enable the party to continue safeguarding peace, further developing the nation, and moving towards achieving Cambodia's vision of becoming a high-income country by 2050.
