Visa on Arrival for Chinese and Indian Tourists Extended for One Year

It has been learned from an announcement by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism that the trial period for granting Visa on Arrival (Tourist Visa) to Chinese and Indian travelers visiting Myanmar by air has been extended for another year. The Visa on Arrival program, which is being extended for the third time, will be effective from August 30, 2026, to August 29, 2027. It is understood that this Visa on Arrival arrangement will allow travelers from China and India to enter and visit Myanmar more easily and smoothly, and will contribute to the development of the domestic tourism sector.
