Da Nang Opens Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities on New Academic Year Start

On September 5, the inauguration ceremony for a boarding school combining primary and secondary education, along with the commencement of the new academic year, was held in Tay Giang commune, a suburb of Da Nang City in central Vietnam. Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau, along with leaders from central ministries and departments and the city of Da Nang, attended the event, expressing expectations for the development of educational infrastructure and the local community. The boarding school is designed to provide quality educational opportunities, particularly for children from ethnic minority groups who face economic and geographical disadvantages. Da Nang City is actively working to improve educational environments in mountainous and remote areas, with the opening of this boarding school being a part of these efforts. The Ministry of Education and Training is promoting the opening of similar boarding schools nationwide, aiming to reduce educational disparities and foster talent. Under Vietnam's one-party system, investment in social welfare, especially in education, is prioritized alongside economic growth. Support for education in ethnic minority regions is a crucial policy objective for promoting uniform national development and social integration.
