Lawyer Aun Submits Evidence of Go-Kart Track Built Over Public Waterway

Lawyer Anupong Suppakorn, widely known as 'Lawyer Aun' from Buriram, has submitted photographic evidence to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) showing a go-kart track being constructed over a public waterway in Khao Kradong. He questioned the DSI's delay in issuing a case number for the investigation. The evidence presented includes photos of local administrative force personnel assisting in the construction of the go-kart track, despite it not being their direct responsibility. Additionally, images show prominent figures from the Bhumjaithai Party attending the track's opening ceremony, while the issue of the encroached public waterway remains unaddressed. Lawyer Aun stated that the photos clearly demonstrate the construction of the go-kart track directly over the public drainage and walkway around Khao Kradong. He expressed surprise that despite the Minister of Justice's written confirmation of forwarding the case to the DSI, no progress has been made in assigning a case number. He raised concerns about whether the DSI serves specific interests, potentially by clearing cases for allies or prosecuting rivals. He also mentioned visiting the Buriram Provincial Land Office to inquire if the DSI had requested land-related evidence, but had not yet received a response. Lawyer Aun noted that he has filed complaints regarding this public waterway issue seven times without any progress. He contrasted this with a case involving a famous influencer, which reportedly saw swift action towards summons or arrest warrants, leading him to question the DSI's operational impartiality. He further commented that the current political situation exhibits selective application of state agencies as tools for powerful groups, arguing it's more severe than during military coups. He contended that while military juntas lacked political networks for corruption, the current administration sees politicians exploiting public funds through various channels for personal gain.
