Cambodia Strengthens Health and Safety Measures for High School Graduation Exams

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia has issued operational guidelines on health and safety measures for the High School Graduation Examination (Sannibat Chumreay Krouy) scheduled for August 10, 2024. The directive aims to ensure the health and safety of all invigilators, various committees, and candidates throughout the examination process. According to the issued guidelines, all departments under the Ministry, the Departments of Education, Youth and Sport in the capital and provinces, the Offices of Education, Youth and Sport in districts, towns, and sub-districts, teacher training institutions, public and private educational institutions designated as examination centers, as well as chief invigilators, examination center chiefs, and all committee members, are required to adhere to the principles stipulated in these operational guidelines. This measure is a significant step towards creating an environment where candidates can take the exam with peace of mind, especially amidst concerns about potential health risks, and also to protect the safety of all individuals involved in the examination administration. In Cambodia, the high school graduation examination is a crucial milestone that influences students' future academic paths and careers, making its fair and safe administration a matter of national concern.
