Vietnam Plays Key Role in Asian Production and Supply Chains

Mexican daily newspaper Regeneración has highlighted Vietnam's pivotal role in Asia's production and supply chains. The publication emphasized Vietnam's significant progress in legal reforms, economic development, and international cooperation. According to the report, Vietnam aims to strengthen its relationship with Mexico, seeking to establish a new partnership framework through enhanced exchanges between the two countries' parliaments and sharing of legislative experiences. Vietnam supports Mexico's efforts to bolster ties with ASEAN, contributing to peace, cooperation, and development between the two regions. Agricultural cooperation is a key focus, with Vietnam expressing readiness to create favorable conditions for Mexican enterprises to boost agricultural exports to the Vietnamese market. The National Assembly session held in Hanoi from August 3 to 24 focused on clearing institutional bottlenecks and building a legal framework for socio-economic development, national defense, and security, reflecting the country's commitment to addressing challenges. Vietnam's socialist-oriented development, driven by 40 years of the "Doi Moi" (Renewal) process, has achieved remarkable progress, underscoring its journey of strengthening its potential, capacity, position, and prestige on the international stage. Furthermore, Vietnam has adopted Politburo Resolution 23-NQ/TW, aimed at fostering a united, deeply integrated, and sustainably developing overseas Vietnamese (OV) community, and effectively harnessing its resources for national development and global engagement. Vietnam's growing international influence is also evident in its role as a destination for international students. Vietnamese students accounted for 31.5% of the total number of international students in the Republic of Korea (RoK), ranking first for the first time. Economically, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Russia saw a 6.6% increase from January to May, with both governments aiming for $10 billion in trade volume, leveraging the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement. Cooperation with Singapore is also deepening, with a joint statement issued to enhance technology connectivity, signaling Vietnam's expanding economic and technological partnerships globally.
