Mondulkiri Governor Awards 5 Motorcycles to Top-Scoring Students to Encourage Academic Excellence

Mondulkiri Provincial Governor Kong Kimny presented five motorcycles, as promised, to five students who achieved Grade A in the 2026 high school diploma examination (Bak Doup). The award ceremony took place on September 12 at the provincial hall, attended by 201 students who had recently passed the exam with grades A, B, or C. Governor Kong Kimny praised the students' efforts in overcoming various obstacles to achieve excellent results. He expressed great joy on behalf of the provincial leadership, noting the increase in Grade A recipients to five this year, compared to only two in the previous year. The governor had publicly pledged to award one motorcycle to each student who scored a Grade A before the examination results were officially released. In the 2026 examination, a total of 768 candidates from Mondulkiri province took the test, with five achieving Grade A. Specifically, two students from Hun Sen Koh Nhek High School (Leng Bunlang, female, 18, and Roach Narach, male, 18) and three from the private Bright Tens High School in Keo Sema District (Chieng Gech Liang, female, 18, Ngon Daliss, female, 17, and Chav Kom Hiang, male, 18) were among the top scorers. The governor announced his intention to continue this motorcycle incentive program for outstanding students in the years to come, starting from 2027. This initiative aims to encourage students' hard work, support their pursuit of higher education, and foster the development of high-quality human resources capable of contributing to national development. For context, the high school diploma examination was held on August 10-11, 2026, with 768 candidates (468 female) participating from Mondulkiri province.
