Prabowo Responds to Declining Public Satisfaction Survey, Emphasizes Priority Programs

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has stated his view that the public still supports him, responding to a decline in public satisfaction surveys regarding the government's performance. The President asserted that he is confident that every time he appears before the public, he is enthusiastically welcomed. "So, I am very confident that every time I appear before the people, they flock to welcome me," Prabowo said in the "Presiden Prabowo Menjawab" (President Prabowo Answers) program, as quoted from his YouTube channel on Wednesday (16/9). Prabowo said that working wholeheartedly for the people is of utmost importance and that he has sworn to uphold the Constitution of 1945 for the greatest benefit of the nation. "So, for me, what's important is that I work, we work," he said. Prabowo stated that the government continues to make its best efforts for the broader Indonesian people, such as achieving food self-sufficiency in a short period. He declared that although the initial target for achieving food self-sufficiency was four years, his team managed to exceed the target, achieving it in just one year. "This is extraordinary," he said. Behind the acknowledgment of these achievements, Prabowo admitted to feeling saddened by those he referred to as "experts" who are unwilling to acknowledge the government's accomplishments.
