A five-year plan strategy draft has been prepared for the development of the parliamentary sector, said U Khin Ri, Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. This was stated by the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw in his closing remarks on the 32nd day, the final day of the second regular session of the third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, held on July 30. According to the strategy plan, efforts will be made to enact modern new laws, amend and supplement necessary laws, and repeal unnecessary laws, and it is necessary to proceed with special emphasis on public participation in lawmaking, said U Khin Ri, Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. Furthermore, he stated that efforts will be made to make the Hluttaw free and open for the public, in line with international practices. U Khin Ri, Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, further stated that direct engagement with international parliaments and effective promotion of public interests are also included in the strategy plan.
