Tropical Depression East of Luzon Stays Outside PAR

A low pressure area (LPA) east of Luzon has developed into a tropical depression but is unlikely to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday. In the agency’s 5 a.m. forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina noted that the tropical depression is expected to further intensify but is not forecast to directly impact the Philippines.
