Marcos Pledges Support for Eastern Samar Hospitals

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited the newly reconstructed Felipe Abrigo Memorial Hospital (FAMH) in Guiuan, Eastern Samar, on Friday, Sept. 25, pledging his commitment to provide additional funding to improve healthcare services in the province. Eastern Samar Gov. Ralph Vincent “RV” Evardone expressed his gratitude to the President for the promise of support, stating that it would greatly contribute to the health and well-being of the province's residents. The support is part of the administration's broader efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the Philippines and enhance medical access, particularly in rural areas. The Marcos administration has prioritized the further implementation of the Universal Health Care program and the provision of quality medical services to all citizens. Eastern Samar has frequently been affected by natural disasters, such as typhoons, making the resilience of its healthcare facilities a critical concern. The reconstruction of FAMH aims to create a safer and more functional medical environment capable of responding even during such calamities.
