Cambodia's Ministry of Justice to Auction Seized Assets

The Ministry of Justice of Cambodia has announced an upcoming public auction for seized assets from the Phnom Penh Municipal Court. These assets will be treated as state property. The items to be auctioned include 128 motorcycles and 315 other vehicles, such as tuk-tuks, sidecar motorcycles, carts, and bicycles, all confiscated by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court. The public auction will take place from September 21 to September 28, 2026, concluding each day at 11:00 AM. Interested parties must fulfill the application procedures and conditions outlined in the bidding book to participate. The base price for the motorcycles is set at $3,456 USD, while the base price for the other vehicles is $42,512 USD. Applications to participate in the auction and to inspect the items will be received daily during working hours at the General Department of Court Administration within the Ministry of Justice. The specific date and venue for the bidding process will be announced later. The Committee for Management and Administration of Evidence (គ.គ.ច.វ.), established in accordance with a joint declaration between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Justice on April 1, 2024, reserves the right to amend the announced dates and locations if necessary. Proceeds from the auction are expected to be integrated into the national budget as state property.
