Daw Mo Mo Aung, Chairman of the Myanmar Real Estate Association (Central), has issued a warning about the creation and sale of fake grants in the market concerning ancestral lands and granted lands, urging people to proceed with caution in their transactions. A roundtable discussion on laws related to ancestral lands and granted lands was held on July 18 at the Kaba Aye Hotel in Yangon, where the Chairman made these remarks. "There are also cases where grants are forged and sold. For granted lands and ancestral lands, if they belong to the municipality, check with the municipality. If they belong to the housing department, check with the housing department. If they do not allow verification, there is a tendency for errors in buying and selling. Once errors in buying and selling occur, the problems become complicated. If, upon checking with the municipality, the grant you possess is found to be incorrect, we have strictly instructed our association members not to proceed with the transaction," said Chairman Daw Mo Mo Aung. At the roundtable discussion, U Lu Han, Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central), U Kyaw Khaung, Chairman of the Myanmar International Arbitration Tribunal Association (Yangon Region), and U Nay Htet Aung, a retired official from the Yangon City Development Committee, discussed the issues. U Nay Aung from the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central) served as the moderator. It is reported that participants in the roundtable discussion clarified issues related to inheritance rights concerning ancestral lands and matters related to granted lands in the real estate market. "The purpose of holding roundtable discussions is to prevent errors in buying and selling in the market and to ensure that people are aware of the facts. Some people engage in buying and selling. Some people buy by saving their own money. If errors in buying and selling occur, their own money will be lost. The main point regarding these issues is to allow verification by the housing department or the municipality. If verification is permitted, errors in buying and selling will be significantly reduced," said Chairman Daw Mo Mo Aung. It is known that the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central) holds monthly roundtable discussions related to real estate to prevent errors in buying and selling in the real estate market.
