US President: Iran 'strongly wants' talks, but military option 'ready'

Washington: President Donald Trump stated that Iran and the United States are currently engaged in highly meticulous discussions on various issues to end the war. However, the President warned that the US has loaded its guns and is ready to fire at any moment. He acknowledged that Iran strongly desires to negotiate an end to the war. As of now, the US has not launched a large-scale attack on Iran. "We are talking with them. I think they are increasingly taking a stronger negotiation stance because they have clear reasons," the President said. When asked if a decision had been made to attack Iran on a large scale, President Trump replied that he had not yet decided. "We can discuss this matter at a much higher level if we want. We are ready. We have loaded our guns and are prepared to fire. There are two ways. I believe that is a wiser approach. But another way might be easier." The President drew a comparison between resolving issues by force and through diplomatic means. In response to a question about whether Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin and his son-in-law (Trump) are participating in the negotiations with Iran, President Trump responded that everyone, including Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Marco Rubio, is involved in this matter. "This is a very big deal. They (Iran) absolutely cannot have nuclear weapons." Regarding the plan for the upcoming November parliamentary elections, President Trump stated he is not overly concerned, despite how much others are discussing it. This comes at a time when Republican strategists are concerned that the Republican Party might lose the House or Senate, or both, this time because people are no longer supporting the war with Iran. If the Democratic Party controls both the House and the Senate, the Trump administration could face considerable difficulties, as all its proposals would likely be stalled in Congress. The US resumed attacks on Iran last week, citing Iran's non-compliance with the temporary ceasefire and its attack on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Iran attacked US bases throughout the Middle East. Iran was even able to accurately target and attack the secret headquarters of the CIA.
