Bolt Rider Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Pattaya Garbage Truck

In Banglamung, Chon Buri, a 21-year-old Bolt motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries after crashing into the rear of a Pattaya municipal garbage truck late Saturday night. Two Cambodian sanitation workers were also injured in the incident. Police at Banglamung station received the report of the crash at approximately 10:30 p.m. on September 5th. The accident occurred on a main road in Pattaya, which reportedly had moderate traffic despite the late hour. According to initial police statements, the Bolt rider was operating a Honda motorbike and is believed to have collided with the garbage truck due to a failure to notice it ahead, possibly at high speed. The impact of the collision severely damaged the motorcycle, and the rider, despite wearing a helmet, suffered severe injuries to his entire body. The two sanitation workers sustained less severe injuries but were transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. The Bolt rider was reportedly in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. This includes examining the crash site and interviewing witnesses. Factors such as potential speeding, driver inattention, and the garbage truck's safety measures are being considered.
