Vietnam Hosts International Fire Safety Tech Expo, Pushing Digitalization

Vietnam is hosting an international exhibition focused on advancing science and technology and digital transformation in fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue efforts. The event, titled “International Exhibition on Techniques and Equipment for Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue; Application of Science and Technology, Digital Transformation in Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue; Security, Safety and Protection Equipment 2026,” is scheduled to take place at the Vietnam-Soviet Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi. This exhibition, coinciding with the 65th anniversary of the Fire Prevention and Firefighting Police Force and the 25th anniversary of National Fire Prevention and Fighting Day, is slated for 2026. It is expected to feature 500 booths from 350 domestic and international businesses and organizations, representing 480 brands from 16 countries and territories. Leading technologies, equipment, and solutions in fire safety and rescue will be showcased by participants from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Austria, and the United States, among others. Beyond product displays, the exhibition will include a series of in-depth programs. An international seminar, “Developing the Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue Industry to Contribute to the Development of the Security Industry Serving National Security Protection, Ensuring Social Order and Safety, and Building the People's Police Force,” will feature nearly 60 presentations. A forum, “Dialogue with Businesses and Business Associations on Fire Prevention, Firefighting, and Rescue,” will bring together over 170 units and enterprises. Additionally, practical training sessions on evacuation, first aid, firefighting, and rescue skills will be offered to the public, students, and pupils throughout the event. The exhibition serves as an opportunity for the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force to present its capabilities, image, and traditions. It also provides a platform for leading global manufacturers and suppliers to introduce their latest innovations. Over the years, the exhibition has expanded in scale, content, and influence, becoming a reputable annual event in the region and a specialized forum connecting regulatory agencies, research institutions, scientists, and the domestic and international business community. Major General Duong Duc Hai, Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, stated at the opening that the exhibition is anticipated not only to introduce new products and technologies but, more importantly, to form an effective connection platform between state management, scientific research, production, business, and practical application, bridging Vietnam's needs with global advanced knowledge, experience, and technology. The event is expected to foster expanded cooperation, technology transfer, and domestic research and production, contributing to the refinement of technical standards and regulations, enhancing firefighting and rescue capabilities, and disseminating safety knowledge and skills to the community. Under Vietnam's one-party system, maintaining national security and social order is a paramount objective, and strengthening firefighting and rescue capabilities is seen as integral to this goal. Rapid economic growth, coupled with increasing urbanization and industrialization, has led to a rise in fire risks, making the adoption of advanced technologies a pressing necessity.
