Indonesian Lawmaker Urges BGN to Improve Food Safety System Amidst Recurring Poisoning Cases

In Indonesia, in response to the recurring incidents of food poisoning, Edy Wuryanto, a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), has strongly urged the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) to fundamentally improve the food safety system. This issue is an urgent matter directly related to the health and safety of the public, and BPOM is expected to strengthen its safety management system throughout the entire process from food distribution to consumption. The concretization and implementation of preventive measures are essential for regaining public trust.
