A domestic violence incident in Phnom Penh has led to the arrest of a husband by military police. The incident occurred around 11:00 PM on July 30th at a residence in Trea 2 Village, Stueng Mean Chey 1 Commune, Meanchey District, Phnom Penh. Responding to an emergency call from the victim, who is the wife, the Meanchey District Command of the Phnom Penh Municipal Gendarmerie intervened. The suspect, identified as Siam Chanthah, a 39-year-old male whose occupation is not specified, is accused of detaining his wife and threatening to kill her. Currently, the suspect and evidence have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Gendarmerie Command for further legal proceedings. This case serves as a reminder to the public about the importance of combating domestic violence and enhancing social safety.
