Ho Chi Minh City Suburb Conducts Mass Health Check-ups, Promoting Proactive Healthcare

On August 8, Nha Be commune in Ho Chi Minh City organized a mass health check-up program for its residents, aiming to promote proactive healthcare within the community. The initiative featured a mobile medical team comprising seven specialties and simultaneously rolled out the "Automated Healthcare System for the Community" model. This health screening aims to assess the health status of each resident, facilitating early detection and treatment, thereby reducing future healthcare costs and fostering a healthier society. As Vietnam experiences economic growth, public health awareness is increasing. However, challenges remain, particularly in rural and suburban areas, concerning access to medical infrastructure and a tendency towards reactive healthcare, where individuals seek treatment only after falling ill. This health check-up program represents a groundbreaking effort to address these issues by bringing medical services closer to residents, raising awareness about the importance of preventive care, and encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits. The Communist Party of Vietnam prioritizes the expansion of universal health insurance and the development of medical infrastructure as key national objectives. Such community-based medical services can be seen as an implementation of the Party's healthcare policies. Maintaining the health of residents, especially in rapidly developing urban areas like Ho Chi Minh City, is crucial for enhancing productivity and sustaining the overall vitality of society.
