Renovation Progress: Restoring damaged facilities and construction works

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin inspected the repair work on the earthquake-damaged “Large Studio” at the Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) main building in Tatkone Township on Thursday. He also inspected roofing repairs, restoration of earthquake-damaged areas, renovation and construction of staff housing and female hostel and the overall progress of the projects. During the inspection, he instructed officials to prioritize safety, quality and durability, meet required standards, complete the projects on schedule and ensure long-term maintenance. He also instructed officials to implement construction projects and equipment procurement for MRTV under the 2026–2027 fiscal year capital expenditure budget in accordance with tender procedures, with emphasis on quality.
