Vietnam-South Korea Boost Investment Promotion in Strategic Priority Areas

On September 15, the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea, in coordination with the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) and Viglacera Corporation, organized a series of investment promotion activities in Seoul. These activities focused on strategically prioritized sectors including manufacturing, energy, electronics, and semiconductors. Pioneering enterprises and coffee associations are bringing Vietnamese Fine Robusta to the South Korean market and consumers. Promoting investment cooperation and technology transfer between Vietnam and Busan-based companies (South Korea). Vietnam and South Korea are promoting cooperation to support innovative startups. The event aimed to deepen economic cooperation between the two countries, with a particular focus on attracting South Korean investment into Vietnam's promising industrial sectors. Specifically, discussions included the transfer of advanced technologies and strengthening support for innovative startups. Furthermore, the promotion of Vietnamese "Fine Robusta" coffee to the South Korean market and the facilitation of investment cooperation and technology transfer with companies in Busan, South Korea, were also discussed. This initiative seeks to create new business opportunities by integrating Vietnam's strong primary product sectors with South Korea's advanced technologies. Under its one-party system, Vietnam is pursuing economic growth, with attracting foreign investment being a crucial pillar of its development. South Korea is a long-standing and important partner for Vietnam, and bilateral economic ties continue to expand, particularly in manufacturing, IT, and energy sectors.
