Vietnamese President Meets Mongolian President on Sidelines of UN General Assembly

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President To Lam met with President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh of Mongolia on the occasion of attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. This meeting was part of Vietnam's active diplomatic engagement on the international stage. President To Lam utilizes meetings with leaders of various countries on the sidelines of multilateral forums like the UN General Assembly as opportunities to communicate Vietnam's foreign policy and its contributions to the international community, thereby deepening understanding. It is presumed that during the meeting with Mongolia, views were exchanged on the current state of bilateral relations, potential future cooperation, and regional and international issues. Vietnam, while maintaining its one-party system, prioritizes economic growth and seeks to strengthen its relations with the international community. Relations with China, in particular, have complex aspects due to historical and geopolitical backgrounds, yet Vietnam strives to maintain good relations with various countries, including China, for its economic development. Such summit meetings at international conferences are positioned as part of Vietnam's diplomatic efforts to enhance its influence on the global stage and support its economic growth.
