One dies in stabbing incident between university students in Pyin Oo Lwin

It has been learned from the Pyin Sar Township Police Station that a stabbing incident between students occurred on the night of September 8 within the campus of Yatanarpon Cyber City University of Technology in Pyin Sar village, Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in one death and one injury. The incident unfolded when two students on the third floor of the Shwe Kyun Thar male dormitory within the Yatanarpon Cyber City University of Technology campus were drinking and making noise. A student from a lower floor went to tell them to stop making noise, which led to an altercation. The two students who were drinking allegedly ganged up and beat the student who came to speak to them with their fists. The student who was beaten retaliated with a vegetable-cutting knife found on the dormitory balcony railing, resulting in the death of one of the two students who were drinking and non-life-threatening injuries to the other. Regarding this incident, it is understood that the student who wielded the knife has been charged and is being investigated by the Pyin Sar Township Police Station.
