Cambodia Approves 37 New Investment Projects Worth $233 Million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and its provincial/municipal investment sub-committees have announced the registration of 37 new investment projects totaling approximately $233 million. These projects are expected to create about 23,000 job opportunities for citizens. Among these registered investment projects, 27 were registered by the CDC, with a total investment capital of approximately $198 million, expected to create about 17,000 jobs. Meanwhile, 10 investment projects were registered by the provincial/municipal investment sub-committees, with an investment capital of approximately $35 million, creating about 6,000 jobs. Notably, Cambodia continues to attract quality investment projects, especially in the infrastructure and tourism sectors, which have seen an increase in investment capital during the first eight months of 2026. The industrial sector remains the leading sector in attracting investment. This trend indicates that Cambodia's investment climate continues to show positive signs and maintains high resilience, reflecting investors' confidence in the government's ongoing efforts to promote business and investment activities.
