Svay Rieng Provincial Governor, H.E. Peng Porsat, has donated cash and supplies to four pagodas that are preparing to provide food and accommodation for students and their guardians taking the 2026 High School Diploma Examination. The donation took place on August 7, 2026. The initiative aims to support candidates who are traveling from distant districts and may not have a place to stay during the examination period. For Prey Chhuk Pagoda, the donations included 2,000,000 Riel (approximately $500 USD), 5 sacks of rice (50 kg each), 5 cases of instant noodles, 5 crates of fish sauce, 5 crates of soy sauce, 5 cases of mineral water, 5 kg of dried fish, and 5 kg of sausages. Three other pagodas—Tomoyodhi Pagoda, Tomol Pagoda, and Svay Chrum Pagoda—received similar supplies and a cash donation of 1,000,000 Riel (approximately $250 USD) each. This effort highlights the community's commitment to ensuring students can focus on their exams, particularly those facing logistical and financial challenges.
