PM Hun Manet: Economic Strength is Key to Robust National Defense
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized strengthening national defense through economic development and improved livelihoods. Speaking at a land title distribution ceremony, he stated that guaranteeing citizens' rights and opportunities contributes to national economic growth and defense capabilities.
Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia has urged the resolution of issues in all sectors to strengthen the national economy and social economy, which is essential for enhancing national defense capabilities. The Prime Minister made these remarks on July 29 while presiding over a ceremony to distribute land ownership certificates to 23,067 residents from Chey Thom, Roka Chonlork, and Pok Russei communes in Kandal province's Ksass Kandal district, held at the Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen Technical School. "National defense, when we are strong, will not be looked down upon by anyone. If we are strong and have the ability to determine our own destiny and greater self-determination, especially for our future generations, they will require clarity and problem-solving capabilities," the Prime Minister emphasized. To achieve this goal, the Prime Minister recommended reducing and eliminating budgetary and resource expenditures on service provision, such as land issues. By resolving problems arising from uncertainty and granting rights and opportunities to citizens as owners, thereby empowering them to drive development, the nation's economic growth will be spurred. "Resolving issues and complexities, and improving the living standards of the people, that is national defense. Reduce complexity, resolve all problems, strengthen our capabilities, and live strongly in all sectors," the Prime Minister stated. AKP Khmer
