Massive Raid on Foreign-Owned Firms in Northern Thailand Over Suspected Tax Evasion and Illegal Ownership

Over 250 police officers raided 31 foreign-owned companies in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, suspected of operating illegal business networks through Thai nominees and violating foreign ownership limits. Hundreds of millions of baht worth of real estate was seized in the crackdown.
