Vice President U Nyo Saw met with Mr. Andrika Ratwatte, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Coordinator for Emergency Relief of the United Nations, on the morning of July 20 at the reception hall of the State President's Office in Nay Pyi Taw, and discussed bilateral cooperation and promotion of mutual understanding regarding disaster management in Myanmar. During the meeting, they discussed the progress of post-earthquake reconstruction activities, the potential for cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance, and the government's humanitarian assistance. Furthermore, they exchanged views frankly on the transparent and successful holding of the 2025 multi-party democracy general election and the status of political developments in Myanmar. The meeting was attended by Vice President U Nyo Saw, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Than Soe, and responsible officials.
