282 basic education schools opened in Tiddim, Tonzang and Falam townships of Chin State, with over 20,000 students attending

It is reported that 282 basic education schools have been opened in Tiddim, Tonzang, and Falam townships of Chin State, with over 20,000 students attending. In Falam Township, 113 basic education schools have been opened, with 284 teachers educating 3,440 students. In Tiddim, Tonzang, and Falam townships, a total of 282 basic education schools have been opened, with 1,247 teachers educating 20,314 students, it is reported. On July 13, Deputy Minister U Myo Myint of the Ministry of Construction, along with members of the Chin State Reconstruction and Resettlement Committee, local dignitaries, and departmental officials, inspected the ongoing activities of basic education high schools, basic education post-primary schools, and the school health department in Falam Township. Upon arriving at the No. 3 Basic Education Post-Primary School in Falam Township with local dignitaries, the Deputy Minister and his delegation met with the headmaster and teachers. It was reported that eight teachers, including the headmaster, are carrying out teaching duties, and 105 students are attending. After a report on the status of teaching aids and current teaching conditions, the Deputy Minister coordinated with responsible officials on the presented matters and observed the eye examinations, oral health checks, and personal hygiene screenings conducted by the School Health Department of the Public Health Department for 92 students, as well as the peaceful learning of the students. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister and his delegation arrived at the No. 1 Basic Education Post-Primary School in Falam Township. Upon meeting with local dignitaries, the headmaster, and teachers, it was reported that eight teachers, including the headmaster, are carrying out teaching duties, and 54 students are attending. It was also reported that a request was made to upgrade the post-primary school to a middle school level so that students from nearby wards and village tracts can attend. In response to these requests, the Deputy Minister instructed the responsible officials to proceed in accordance with procedures if they meet the specifications, and observed the peaceful learning of the students. Following this, the Deputy Minister and his delegation, along with local dignitaries, arrived at the No. 1 Basic Education High School in Falam Township. The Deputy Minister instructed the responsible officials to ensure the cleanliness and beauty of the school surroundings and premises, and to collectively maintain the main school building, which was built to commemorate the centennial anniversary, for long-term durability.
