Difficulties in constructing communication towers in Kone Hein

In villages in Kone Hein Township, Shan State (South), there are difficulties in constructing communication towers due to the lack of electricity and the mountainous terrain, said Deputy Minister U Thet Win Aung of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications. In response to a question from Sai Kyaw Hla, a Member of Parliament for the Kone Hein constituency, at the 24th day of the 2nd regular session of the 3rd Pyidaungsu Hluttaw held on July 16, asking for the construction of two towers by an operator due to the absence of a communication network in 72 villages in Kone Hein Township, Deputy Minister U Thet Win Aung responded as follows. He stated that for the construction of mobile communication base stations in the villages of Kone Hein Township, it will be planned and implemented annually in accordance with communication regulations and rules, depending on the availability of electricity, the possibility of establishing and connecting communication lines, the availability of funds, and the local conditions. He also said that 25 mobile communication base stations and communication services are currently being provided in Kone Hein Township, and for the remaining villages, services can only be provided after the electricity supply line reaches them, Deputy Minister U Thet Win Aung said.
