Indonesia to Revamp School Evaluation System with New App for Teacher Assessment Transparency

The Agency for Human Resources Development and Empowerment (BGN), operating under Indonesia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, has introduced a new evaluation application named MBG. This digital tool is designed to overhaul the existing school evaluation system by enabling principals and teachers to assess educator performance through the established Teacher Assessment and Development System (SPPG). This strategic move is intended to bolster the overall quality of education across Indonesia. The SPPG, which serves as the framework for teacher competency development and performance appraisal, will see its processes digitized and made more efficient with the integration of the MBG application.
