Cambodia's Bati District Provides Motorcycles, Supplies, and Funds to District Gendarmerie

Bati District in Takeo Province, Cambodia, has provided one motorcycle, various equipment, and 1 million riels (approximately $250 USD) in cash to its district gendarmerie to strengthen public safety and order and enhance their effectiveness in safeguarding the local population. The handover ceremony took place on July 20, 2026, at the Bati District Gendarmerie base. Say Vanna, Governor of Bati District and Chairman of the District Administrative Command, stated that the support demonstrates care and encouragement for the armed forces who have actively worked to protect the security and safety of the citizens. He urged the district gendarmerie to utilize the provided equipment effectively and for its intended purpose, especially in improving traffic management, security, and the monitoring, prevention, and suppression of offenses throughout Bati District. Furthermore, the District Governor emphasized that all forces must continue to cooperate closely with local authorities and citizens to eradicate all types of crimes, particularly pressing issues such as drug trafficking, robbery, and juvenile delinquency, aiming to ensure truly safe villages and communes for the residents. Colonel Meng Marada, Commander of the Bati District Gendarmerie, expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Say Vanna and his colleagues, wishing them good health, success in all their endeavors, and safe travels. The donated items included one XR230 motorcycle, four traffic lights, two traffic signals, two traffic barriers, four traffic cones, 10 kilograms of beef, and 10 boxes of instant noodles.
