Vietnam Pursues Multidimensional Progress in Foreign Relations and Domestic Policy

Vietnam is making multidimensional progress through strengthening relations with neighboring countries, maintaining a leading role in the region, and advancing domestic social and security policies. In its relations with Cambodia, the deepening of friendship and cooperation between Dak Lak province and Mondulkiri province was stressed as both a political responsibility and a practical requirement for development. In particular, stronger cooperation in cross-border e-commerce is expected to become a new growth channel, contributing to the realization of bilateral trade targets and the development of digital economies for both countries. The handover of the remains of 14 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts, discovered in Cambodia's Kirivong and Tram Kak districts, to An Giang province signifies the historical ties and respect for sacrifices between the two nations. In terms of regional security, Vietnam is engaging in exchanges with the Philippine Navy and implementing defense cooperation agreements with Russia. Domestically, the strategic shift towards 'building national resilience,' outlined at the third meeting of the 14th Party Central Committee, is noteworthy. This objective is not to eliminate every possible risk but to enhance the country's ability to adapt and recover when disruptions occur. Vietnam also emphasizes its role in promoting peace and cooperation within the international community. The exchange of congratulatory messages with Cuba and Vietnam's proactive and responsible stance within ASEAN reflect the fundamental lines of its foreign policy. Furthermore, the issuance of decrees on Apostille certifications aims to facilitate the receipt and use of international documents, aligning with efforts to deepen engagement with the global community. Ahead of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, stated that Vietnam's history is a testament to patriotism, the pursuit of independence, and the aspiration for peace, paying tribute to the millions of Vietnamese who dedicated their youth and sacrificed their lives for the nation's freedom. Gratitude is being expressed nationwide to those involved in commemorating martyrs and in the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers' remains.
