Kim Long Motor Launches Bus Models in Thai Market, Accelerating Overseas Expansion of Vietnamese Commercial Vehicles

Kim Long Motor and KIJSETTHI Mobility officially launched Kim Long-branded bus models in the Thai market on September 15. This event, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations (1976-2026), signifies the growing cooperation between the two nations and demonstrates the prowess of Vietnamese enterprises in actively integrating into the global economy and realizing national industrial development strategies. The launch marks the official entry of commercial vehicles bearing Vietnamese intellect and production capabilities closer to local customers, while also fostering economic and trade connections between businesses of the two countries. KIJSETTHI Mobility, appointed as an authorized distributor for Kim Long Motor in Thailand since April 2026, has been progressively implementing its sales and after-sales service system nationwide. Both parties aim to build a professional distribution and service platform, providing the Thai market with quality transportation solutions and optimizing operational efficiency. KIJSETTHI Mobility has completed its showroom network, authorized service stations, and genuine parts warehouse, ready to provide 24/7 technical support and warranty, ensuring maximum customer confidence when investing in Kim Long-branded products. According to the cooperation orientation, in Phase 1, Kim Long Motor will introduce commercial vehicle dòng onto the Thai market, developing both new generation internal combustion engine vehicles meeting EURO 5 emission standards and fully electric vehicle dòng in parallel. In Phase 2, Kim Long Motor will shift from exporting completely built units (CBU) to production and assembly in Thailand with a localization rate of 50% or more. The goal for the period 2027-2030 is to make Thailand a strategic production and export center for Kim Long Motor in the ASEAN region. At the ceremony, Kim Long Motor introduced bus models researched and manufactured on automated production lines with digitized management, boasting end-to-end value chain autonomy. The models launched this time are designed according to the specific requirements of the Thai market, emphasizing both operational capability, safety standards, and passenger experience, with diverse configurations flexible for operational models. The 12-seater bus dòng offers seating capacities of 42, 43, and 44, providing comprehensive transportation solutions for inter-provincial journeys. The 7.9m, 21-seater bus dòng stands out with its compact design, suitable for urban traffic, short, fixed routes, or high-frequency shuttle services. All products feature spacious and comfortable interiors, notably powered by the robust and exceptionally fuel-efficient YUCHAI K11 engine (consuming only 19–21 liters/100 km), addressing the economic challenges for transport businesses.
