The Department of Education (DepEd) Malaybalay City Division announced that Sawaga Elementary School, Langasihan Elementary School, Managok Central School, Maligaya Integrated School, and Matangpatang Elementary School shifted to modular distance learning, as flooding and landslides made travel unsafe for students, teachers, and school personnel. CDRRMO data showed that 205 families were evacuated, including 10 families from Barangay Managok who were temporarily housed at the Violeta Evacuation Center. Authorities also confirmed the death of a 50-year-old man in Barangay Managok after he was swept away by strong floodwaters while attempting to cross a flooded section. Flooding was likewise reported in barangays Miglamin, Linabo, Violeta, and Simaya. A landslide temporarily blocked a road in Barangay Miglamin, but responders cleared the route later that evening, Cagaanan said.
