NA President Concludes Mongolia Visit, Boosting Bilateral Ties

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has concluded his official visit to Mongolia, wrapping up efforts to strengthen cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. The visit aimed to further develop the role of the Mongolia-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group as a "friendship bridge" and drive substantive cooperation, building on common perceptions reached by leaders of both nations. The leaders agreed to enhance the role of their respective legislatures in promoting substantive and effective economic connectivity between the two countries, commensurate with their potential. This reflects Vietnam's position as a key member of ASEAN and its desire to develop economic ties with Mongolia on a multilateral stage. Chairman Man acknowledged the difficulties faced by the Vietnamese community in Mongolia, particularly the harsh climate, and expressed hope that they will continue to uphold solidarity and mutual support while settling into their lives, businesses, studies, and integration into the host society. He also participated in Mongolia's traditional Naadam Festival, recognizing its significance as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. This visit underscores Vietnam's expanding role and responsible contributions to global issues and the future of the region and the world, particularly through its participation in frameworks like BRICS. Vietnam shares lessons learned from China's development experience and its 40 years of Doi Moi (Renewal) policy, emphasizing a people-centered approach and continuous innovation. Vietnam's diplomatic activities extend beyond Mongolia, with efforts to strengthen ties with European nations including France and Serbia. Notably, cooperation with France is deepening across various sectors such as defense, security, UN peacekeeping operations, and combating transnational crime. This demonstrates Vietnam's commitment to leveraging its traditional friendships while pursuing a modern foreign policy vision to meet the nation's future development needs.
