Quang Tri Urgently Reinforces Collapsed Section of Riverbank Road

In Le Thuy commune, Quang Tri province, in response to the complex situation caused by heavy rains, the Le Thuy People's Committee on the morning of September 14th directed an urgent reinforcement operation using sandbags at a collapsed section of the riverbank road passing through the Thach Tan hamlet. This measure aims to ensure the safety of the infrastructure and residents. Quang Tri province is actively implementing measures for the swift evacuation of residents from vulnerable areas. Additionally, schools in areas deemed unsafe due to heavy rainfall have been closed to ensure student safety. Despite the weakening of a low-pressure system, Quang Tri continues to strengthen its response to heavy rainfall. Recent incidents include the rescue of a railway bridge from a stranded barge in the river, highlighting ongoing vigilance against natural disasters across the region. Furthermore, damage to houses caused by a tornado has also been reported, necessitating a response to these multiple disaster types. Vietnam has experienced rapid economic growth in recent years.
