Cambodian National Assembly President's Vietnam Visit to Bring Further Benefits to Both Nations' Citizens
Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sudary expressed satisfaction with her meetings with Vietnamese leaders, reaffirming strengthened bilateral ties and increased benefits for citizens. The visit underscored the deepening of traditional friendship and strategic partnership, with a commitment to future generations.
Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, expressed her joy and pride in the fruitful, sincere, and constructive discussions and exchange of views with top leaders of Vietnam. These outcomes are expected to bring more benefits to the citizens of both nations, in line with the spirit of "traditional friendship, good neighborliness, and comprehensive and lasting strategic cooperation." President Sudary made these remarks during a dinner hosted by Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the evening of July 28, 2026, at the Vietnamese National Assembly Palace. The dinner followed Sudary's bilateral meeting with Tran Thanh Man earlier that morning, as well as her courtesy calls and working discussions with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Vietnam, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in all sectors, with citizens at the core. President Sudary firmly believes that the traditional friendship, good neighborliness, and comprehensive and lasting strategic cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow and develop further, despite rapid changes at national and international levels. She emphasized that the friendship and relations between the two nations remain resilient and continue to develop unstoppably. Tran Thanh Man stated that the presence of the high-level Cambodian National Assembly delegation led by President Sudary in Vietnam is a testament to the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, in accordance with the consensus of the leaders of both nations. He added that this strong cooperation is not only a legacy from past generations but also for future generations to further strengthen and expand.
